About Us — Oman Maritime School (OMS Oman)

Oman Maritime School (OMS) is the first secondary-level maritime school in the Sultanate of Oman, founded to prepare skilled and knowledgeable students for the growing demands of the blue economy. Located in Muscat—one of the region’s most strategic maritime centers—our school provides modern, practical, and industry-focused education aligned with Oman Vision 2040. We offer specialized programs in three key fields: Mariner , Ship Building and repair , Port Oprations. Our curriculum is built on international standards and developed in collaboration with maritime experts, industry professionals, and academic institutions. Through advanced classrooms, laboratories, simulators, and hands-on training, OMS equips students with the technical and academic skills needed for future careers in maritime sectors or further studies in maritime universities. OMS aims to become a national center of excellence—supporting human-capital development, strengthening Oman’s maritime identity, and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
