Mental health and wellness are key to student success. It affects learning, relationships, safety, and future goals. At Highline, we support student well-being through a districtwide approach called the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This framework connects proven practices, state guidelines, and culturally responsive care to promote mental wellness for all.
Challenges like mental health struggles, substance use, or thoughts of self-harm can impact every part of a student’s life. We understand that there’s often more going on than meets the eye. That’s why we focus on prevention, education, early support, and building strong connections.
We believe that prevention is a team effort. Families, schools, and caring adults all play an important role in helping students thrive. Our goal is to create safe, welcoming spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to make healthy choices—emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Whether you're a student, caregiver, or staff member, you're not alone. We're here to help students and families strengthen mental wellness and build lifelong resilience. This includes both schoolwide wellness programs and personalized support based on individual needs.
