Threat Assessments
Oman Public High School uses a process called a School-Based Threat Assessment to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment. The district follows School Board Policy 3227 and Superintendent Procedure 3227- establishes a process led by school social workers in partnership with administrators. Working closely with teachers, counselors, and other staff, these teams identify and assess student behaviors that may pose a threat to themselves or others. The goal is to understand and manage concerning behavior in a timely and respectful way. Multi-disciplinary team support schools by helping develop personalize plans that reduce risk and promote student well-being.
