Crisis Team

Our Crisis Team is here to support students and staff during difficult times.
When a crisis occurs, such as the loss of a student or staff member, or another traumatic event—our team is available to help school principals and staff respond with care and compassion.

When requested by school staff, the Crisis Team visits schools to meet with principals and counselors to create a plan that supports students and staff throughout the school day. The number of team members who respond depends on the nature and impact of the situation.

The team uses a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing model to support students. They meet with students individually or in small groups and are also available to consult with staff. To ensure students receive help from familiar and trusted adults, the Crisis Team works closely with the school counselor to coordinate their response.
