Pregnant and Parenting Student

Oman Public High School is committed to supporting students who are pregnant or parenting while continuing their education.

Our District Social Worker oversees the Teen Parent Program and provides individualized support to help students reach their goals academically, emotionally, and personally. Services are based on each student’s needs and may include case management, referrals, and help navigating school, health, and parenting resources.

We work closely with each student’s care team, including counselors, nurses, administrators, and other school staff to ensure students are supported in their home school or academic program. Together, we strive to connect school, home, and community supports that promote student and family well-being.

Pregnant and parenting students have rights under Title IX to access education free from discrimination, and we’re here to ensure every student receives compassionate, equitable, and coordinated care.

District and Federal Policies

Students are protected from discrimination and harassment based on pregnancy or related conditions. The school district possesses and has distributed policies against discrimination and harassment.
